Guidance for Juneteenth

Juneteenth has officially been approved by the Faculty Senate as a systemwide No Classes Day effective with the summer 2022 academic calendar (celebrated Monday, June 20, 2022). All room meeting patterns and room assignments have been released from classes for that day. We are currently working on how this change will be reflected to students and instructors in MyU.

The summer academic session dates will not be modified, rather, departments and instructors will be expected to make accommodations for instructional time in the same way they would for a University Holiday or other No Classes Day that falls within the semester (e.g., July 4th, Thanksgiving, spring break, etc.). For help with calculating meeting hours, please see OCM’s May/Summer Scheduling guidance page.

For reference, this list of UMNTC Summer 2022 Classes had a scheduled class meeting occuring on June 20 (data as of 2/1/2022).
